Der Trailer für den Masters of the Universe-Kinofilm ist da!

Wie gestern angekündigt wurde soeben der Trailer für den neuen Masters of the Universe-Film veröffentlicht. Außerdem gibt es jetzt auch das Filmposter und weiteres Bildmaterial.

„In MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE, Director Travis Knight brings the legendary franchise back to the big screen in this epic live-action adventure. After being separated for 15 years, the Sword of Power leads Prince Adam (Nicholas Galitzine) back to Eternia where he discovers his home shattered under the fiendish rule of Skeletor (Jared Leto). To save his family and his world, Adam must join forces with his closest allies, Teela (Camila Mendes) and Duncan/Man-At-Arms (Idris Elba), and embrace his true destiny as He-Man – the most powerful man in the universe.“

• Mattel Films‘ and Amazon MGM Studios‘ live-action feature film Masters of the Universe, based on the iconic franchise, will be released theatrically in the US on June 5, 2026, by Amazon MGM Studios and worldwide this June, by Sony Pictures International Releasing
• The film is directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Travis Knight (Bumblebee, Kubo and the Two Strings).
• Escape Artists‘ Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, and Steve Tisch, Mattel Films‘ Robbie Brenner, and DeVon Franklin are producing.
• The cast includes Nicholas Galitzine as „He-Man/Prince Adam“, Camila Mendes as „Teela“, Alison Brie as „Evil-Lyn“, James Purefoy as „King Randor“, Morena Baccarin as „The Sorceress“, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as „Fisto/Malcolm“, Charlotte Riley as „Queen Marlena“, featuring Kristin Wiig as the voice of „Roboto“, with Jared Leto as „Skeletor“, and Idris Elba as „Duncan/Man-At-Arms“, Sasheer Zamata as „Suzie“, John Xue Zhang as „Ram Man“, and Christian Vunipola as „Hussein“.

Kinostart ist in den USA am Freitag, den 5. Juni im Vertrieb von Amazon MGM Studios, international im Juni im Vertrieb von Sony Pictures International Releasing. In Deutschland starten Kinofilme traditionell an Donnerstagen, daher ist es hierzulande bereits am 4. Juni soweit.
